Jamaat Salaah and Imaamat

Imaam pausing during salaah due to crying

Q: During the Friday prayer, the imam paused two times during the recitation of Surah Faatihah, and once during the recitation of another surah. The pause was longer than the time it takes to say 3 times سبحان الله , and it seemed that the imam was weeping. Will the Friday prayer be valid?

Muqtadi not completing tashahhud behind the Imaam

Q: Without completing tashahhud behind the imaam in the second and fourth rakaah, is my salaah valid?

Performing Salaah with jamaat at home

Q:

1. If I missed the prayer with jamat, can I pray with my family members (wife, sons, daughter) at home?

2. Can I miss the congregation prayer at the masjid and pray in congregation at home because the imam of the masjid makes masah on normal socks?

3. If I am sure that I will miss the jamat, is it compulsory to go to the masjid and pray alone or second jamat?

4. I hear the azan and iqamat and complete namaz but I am very tired to go and pray in the masjid, can I pray at home later with my family?

5. For Asar prayer, instead of praying with jamat in a Hambali maslak time, can I delay the prayer and pray (alone or with my family) at home after the Hanafi maslak time begins. (I listen to the complete azan and iqamat and jamat from the masjid's speakers).

Moving in salaah to fill the gaps in the saff

Q:

1. How many saffs (rows) can we cross while in the state of namaaz in order to fill the front saffs (rows)?

2. How much can we move horizontally in the same saff (row) in order to fill the gap?

Moving the saff of the children back after salaah commences

Q: If a person arrives late for salaah and notices that the saff of the children is going to join up with the sufoof of the adults, should he move the children to the back?

Head touching the feet of the person in the front saff when going into sajdah

Q: When I offer namaaz in the masjid, when going into sajdah, many peoples heads touch the feet of the person in the front row. Whats the ruling on it?Does it affect the namaaz in any way?

Attending the musjid when one has a contagious disease

Q: If one is physically able to make it to the musjid but has a contagious disease (flu, measles etc.) must he attend?

Hiring an Imaam who does not follow a mazhab

Q: Can we employ an Imaam who doesn't follow the four most prominent mazhabs as the Imaam of the musjid? Can we perform salaah behind this Imaam and would it be valid? Can the non mazhab Aalim teach in a Hanafi madrasah?

Performing salaah at home due to illness

Q: If one has the flu or running stomach does he have to go to the masjid for prayers and jumuah?

Large gap between saffs in jamaat salaah

Q: For the saffs of the men, we understand that there should be continuity, and a gap larger than 2 saffs between saffs will cause the link to be broken, thus the salaah of those behind the gap will not be valid. (In the situation where there isn't any river, etc. inbetween).

What is the ruling regarding saff continuity for ladies? If a masjid has a room at the back, but between the last saff of the men and the women's room is a large gap, would the ladies salaah be permissible behind the imam? (assuming all other conditions are fulfilled such as the imam making niyyat for leading the ladies).
