Debtor taking out an interest bearing loan to pay his creditor

Q: If a debtor takes an interest based loan to return our due money. Are we allowed to take our money back from such an arrangement.

We are not asking/ forcing them to take the loan to return our money but just demanding our money as the term due is nearing.

A: Yes, it is permissible for you to take the money that is due to you. However, if you give the poor person some respite to pay the loan and you save him from taking an interest bearing loan, then this will be greatly rewarding.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
