Q: Are ladies qiraat jalsas permissible? Should we participate, or is it a bidah?
A: We strongly discourage this. The hadeeth strongly advocates this lesson that a woman is something to be concealed. And when she expresses and exposes herself then shaytaan would try his utmost to deceive and trap people. If it was something good then the pious of the old would have definitely congregated for such things.
