Attending a course on interpreting dreams
Q: I would like to know if it's permissable to attend a course on interpreting dreams. What is your ruling or fatwa on interpreting dreams?
A: In our understanding, the science of interpreting dreams is not a science that can be learnt through taking part in any course. Apart from this, the interpretation of dreams is not something conclusive. There are various aspects that are taken into consideration before interpreting a dream. It is for this reason, a single dream may have various interpretations. Many a time, shaitaan influences one in a dream or the thoughts in one's mind play up in one's dream and this leads to him seeing confused dreams. Therefore, the science of interpreting dreams is not a science that can be taught or learnt through taking part in seminars or courses.
