Saying insha-Allah when asked to convey the salaam to someone

Q: Whilst my father was abroad, if he asked me to give salaam to the congregants at the masjid and I said I would Insha’Allah thinking that I would approach the Imam to tell everyone but I didn’t do so and my father asked me more than once and I didn’t do so on any occasion, as my father is back now, what would I do?

A: If you said insha Allah, then conveying the salaam will not be compulsory upon you, though it will be greatly rewarding to do so. Even though your father has returned from his journey, you can still inform the people that your father conveyed salaams to them while he was away.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
