Eating ice cream or drinking milkshake at a restaurant which is not halaal

Q: Can a Muslim eat (ice cream/desserts) or drink (milkshakes) at a restaurant which is not halaal?

A: Precaution requires that you abstain from such restaurants and eating areas. You must exercise caution in matters of halaal and haraam.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.

سمعت النعمان بن بشير يقول سمعت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول الحلال بين والحرام بين وبينهما مشبهات لا يعلمها كثير من الناس فمن اتقى المشبهات استبرأ لدينه وعرضه ومن وقع في الشبهات كراع يرعى حول الحمى يوشك أن يواقعه ألا وإن لكل ملك حمى ألا إن حمى الله في أرضه محارمه ألا وإن في الجسد مضغة إذا صلحت صلح الجسد كله وإذا فسدت فسد الجسد كله ألا وهي القلب (صحيح البخاري، الرقم: 52)

عن أبي الحوراء السعدي قال قلت للحسن بن علي ما حفظت من رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم؟ قال حفظت من رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم دع ما يريبك إلى ما لا يريبك فإن الصدق طمأنينة وإن الكذب ريبة وفي الحديث قصة (سنن الترمذي، الرقم: 2518، وقال هذا حديث صحيح)
