Taking a video of the grave

Q: Is it possible to take a video of the grave after a person is buried and show it to the females?

A: This is a useless exercise. The more important thing is to make dua for the deceased and prepare yourselves. This was not the practice of the pious of the past nor the pious of the present.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.

(و) كره (كل لهو) لقوله عليه الصلاة والسلام كل لهو المسلم حرام إلا ثلاثة ملاعبته أهله وتأديبه لفرسه ومناضلته بقوسه (الدر المختار 6/395)

قال العلامة ابن عابدين رحمه الله: (قوله وكره كل لهو) أي كل لعب وعبث فالثلاثة بمعنى واحد كما في شرح التأويلات والإطلاق شامل لنفس الفعل واستماعه كالرقص والسخرية والتصفيق وضرب الأوتار من الطنبور والبربط والرباب والقانون والمزمار والصنج والبوق فإنها كلها مكروهة لأنها زي الكفار واستماع ضرب الدف والمزمار وغير ذلك حرام وإن سمع بغتة يكون معذورا ويجب أن يجتهد أن لا يسمع قهستاني (رد المحتار 6/395)

عن سليمان بن بريدة عن أبيه قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: قد كنت نهيتكم عن زيارة القبور فقد أذن لمحمد في زيارة قبر أمه فزوروها فإنها تذكر الآخرة (سنن الترمذي، الرقم: 1054)
