Qurbaani of an animal whose horn has broken off

Q: Can Qurbaani be made of an animal whose horn has broken off?

A: If the horn has broken off from the root, it will not suffice for Qurbaani. However, if it did not break off from the root, it will suffice.

ويجوز بالجماء التي لاقرن لها وكذا مكسورة القرن وإن بلغ الكسر المشاش لايجزيه والمشاش رؤس العظام مثل الركبتين والمرفقين (الفتاوى الهندية 5/297)

وتجزي الجماء وهي التي لا قرن لها خلقة، وكذا مكسورة القرن تجزي ... فإن بلغ الكسر المشاش لا تجزيه والمشاش رؤوس العظام مثل الركبتين والمرفقين (بدائع الصنائع 5/76)

ولا بأس بالخصي والجماء وهي الشاة التي لا قرن لها ومكسور القرن (المحيط البرهاني في الفقه النعماني 6/92)

(قال ويجوز أن يضحي بالجماء وهي التي لا قرن لها) ش: أي قال القدوري ولا خلاف فيه لأحد م: (لأن القرن لا يتعلق به مقصود) ش: لأنه ينتفع به في الأضحية وليس منصوص عليه فلا يؤثر م: (وكذا مكسورة القرن) ش: أي يجوز (البناية شرح الهداية 12/ 38)
